Every winter, like many of my photographer friends, I take time to rejuvenate, get creative, and just plain exhale from the holiday exhaustion. This year I vowed to take off completely and utterly between Christmsa and January 5th. In a move not surprising to anyone who knows me . . . I went the other way. :) I added on a last-minute hardcore business workshop in Nashville and so instead found myself finishing client galleries from December (that I was going to get to after the 5th), scrambling to get my financial records in tip-top shape, and heading to Nashville on the 6th for four days of managerial accounting, sales, and marketing chatter. It was rejuvenating, in a way. Just a very busy bee sort of way to "relax." :) I did take a true break here and there, however, and managed to photograph all three of my children. My oldest.
My middle child, who is already like me in so many ways. :)
And my youngest, who has doubled in size since December 1st. psst--if anyone knows how to get the youngest and oldest to be friends rather than play the hiss-and-dash game, I'm all ears!
A quick announcement just for photographers--a special offer will be heading out next week to those of you who inquired about workshops and consulting/mentoring opportunities. If you are interested in adding your name to this list, just send me an e-mail this weekend! Thank you! I'll be meeting some special newborn twins this weekend, so the blog is sure to be filled with cuteness next week. See you then! |
