MEMORY LANE

I was asked to pull some of my favorite images for a very exciting upcoming project (more on that soon!) and so I spent the evening going down memory lane.  Here are the ones that just begged to be included--and in chronological order no less (thanks, Bridge!).  What fun it was to remember each of these sessions.  The giggles, the tiny toes, the slightly off-key renditions of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star."  So many wonderful little people--people in the making.  Thank you to each and every one! : )

OUR YARD JUST GOT SOME FLAIR

So much to catch up on!  I've had the pleasure of photographing so many wonderful families in the past week and the fall/holiday rush is in full swing.  Please note that all weekend dates before my "guaranteed holiday deadline" of November 14th are now filled.  If you do not have a spot and are interested in holiday cards as well as family gifts, please let me know as soon as possible so that you can grab one of the remaining weekday morning spots!

Sneak peeks will be filling the blog very very soon (thank you for your patience!) and until then I thought I'd share a bit of excitement at our house from last week.  As someone who left her parents' home for a college dorm room in Louisiana, followed by a Hyde Park efficiency for grad school at The University of Chicago, followed by a New York one-bedroom for yet more graduate school, I've waiting a looooong time for a big yard. I may or may not have gone a little crazy. ; )

Until next time . . . . (Oh, and my daughter would like to add that any Main Line girls or boys between the ages of 4 and 7 are welcome in her yard anyday after 3pm.  ha ha!!)

No . . . seriously . . . she is standing by her Cedar Fone to take your playdate call and will have goldfish and grapes waiting at the picnic table! : )

Have a great week, everyone!  I'll be back soon with client sneak peeks and a special WordSmith announcement!

FAREWELL SUMMER

Today I received a few reminders that it is indeed fall (despite the warm weather!) and that summer is behind us.  A few lovely, fuzzy sweaters arrived from Garnet Hill and our last summer share from the CSA came as well.  I told myself all summer that I would photograph some of the goodies we've enjoyed from Wimer's Organics and week after week came and went with no photos. But not this week! Despite the setting sun I took 10 minutes to snap these.  Tomatoes . . . I think I will miss you most of all (said in my best Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz voice ;)).

And last but not least . . .

Wait . . . that one might have been from the Schwan's man. :)

PBC + PBK = FUN

Have you met Shannon Choe, founder of Premier Baby Concierge and Premier Sitter Services yet? No? You needn't look very far! Of course I would expect to find my client in the pages of this blog (those are her three darling girls frolicking in the rain just a few posts down) but when my Main Line Today "Best of . . . " issue arrived last week, there she was again!

Find her next this Sunday at Pottery Barn Kids in the King of Prussia Mall . PBK is known by my daughter as "the kids' store" and by me as the place she loves the play most at the mall--remind me again why I bought half the store when everything is ever so much more enticing when it's *there* instead of at home?.  But I digress as usual.  Find out all of the details regarding Premier Baby Concierge's  "Preparing for Baby" class here and enjoy!!!

Next up on the blog . . . a gorgeous boy who really knows how to rock his Kingsley. :)

And because I should also post a photo, here's one of my favorites from the archives. :) One of these days I'll get around to taking a snap of the 20x30 canvas I have of this one.

WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?

First I must ask . . . have you had enough rain yet? I love the rain (no really, I do) but even I am ready to get a glimpse of sunshine!  My poor clients whose session had to be rescheduled feel the same way, surely!  If only I could add "controller of weather" to my resume . . . .

One gathering that was NOT rained out this weekend took place at Nurture in Ardmore. Yay! I was so pleased to cover a speed sitter interview event for Premier Sitter Services. Think speed dating, but better . . . Premier Sitter Services connects parents with sitters in a fun, fast, efficient way. Here are just a few shots from the morning event. (Pssst . . . if anyone finds these hot pink loafers in women's sizes, you know where to find me.)
